LearnerDriverHub.com
has been created by Dieter Fischer, a professional driving instructor for
most of his working life. As a young 19 year-old Dieter migrated from
Germany to Australia in 1969. In his 25+ years of teaching 1000's of learner
drivers, 13 years with the South Australian Royal Automobile Association, he
gained much experience, which is reflected in this website.
Dieter was
a pioneer in road safety online. His first internet project was
driving-school.com.au in the late 1990's. The contents was based on his book
"Low-Risk Driving - a Skill for Life." His crash animations
were among the very first on the net. LearnerDriverHub.com is a rejuvenation
of the book and website.
In his
spare time he invented and marketed for some years an in-car teaching aid.
Driving instructors and student drivers alike found it useful to better
explain/understand complex traffic situations:

This
website includes many images, created with one of these teaching
aids. |
Dieter
credits much of his knowledge about road safety to the Australian Institute
of Advanced Motorists (Tas. Inc.) where he was an active member soon after
starting his career. The organisation is passionate about educating
motorists to take their driving seriously, to learn the skills necessary to
reduce the shocking road trauma we watch daily on the news. LearnerDriverHub.com is
his contribution to that end.
Dieter, now
retired, lives in Adelaide, South Australia with his wife, who he married in
1971. They have four grown up children and grand children.
